Renfrew


We're staying in our Bongo on a drive in Renfrew which is a 60 min Bus&Train drive from CGV. As ever with Glasgow and it's surroundings some lovely buildings such as Renfrew's Victorian Gothic town hall which stands regally at the top of the High Street:


Sadly, Renfrew's Church of Scotland is up for auction.


was minded of the Liverpool cemetery where my Dad is buried, the council have sold the Cemetrey keeper's cottage at its entrance - they've been turned into student accommodation. They make very odd neighbours the students and the dead. The signs in Renfrew announcing minister's contact details, services and pews for sale make an equally odd pairing. 


And as ever Glasgow buildings continue to delight - Renfrew's Masons' Meeting Hall with its Greek Doric Temple facade in Glasgow's  characteristic sandstone:
