First Day in the CGV AKA Commonwealth Games Village

I felt a bit of a Wally on the bus into town as I was in my uniform for the first time all bright red, white & grey - fully branded Glasgow 2014. I am sure no one noticed me but I felt as thou all eyes were on me.

So it was a great relief and surprise to reach Glasgow Central,

Relief, as I met my first Clyde-Sider like me in full uniform her name was Kiran ( I hope I got that right!) she too will be working in the CGV.

Surprise, as I heard my name called out - Michael! It was David who
set up the Facebook site for CGA Assistants for Nigeria - sadly only two of us signed up ( more of that later).
Couldn't resist a selfie....only 11dys to go.

David and I travelled together to the village meeting up with other NGR CGA assistants on the way. Good fun and Good banter.

The full team, all eight of us met up in CGA service in the village.

From left to right

David, John, Philip, Michael, Michael,Fiona, Alan, Andrew

The NGR Cheif de Mission over ran so we were let go early.

On the way out had the chance catch part of the Team Welcoming Ceremony Rehersal - more of that when it's live. But could not resist the chance of being photographed with one of the cast - 'Alf'

And it least it didn't rain.....much, just looked like rain most of the day....
